The FMC is pleased to endorse the principles contained in the papers it received from its Child Inclusive Mediation (CIM) working group. Following on from the Voice of the Child Report, the group was tasked with producing recommendations for competencies and training in CIM. The FMC thanks all the members of the group who have worked extremely hard throughout 2016 and the beginning of 2017 to produce recommendations on this important issue.
The FMC has now remitted the papers to the FMSB which will consider how to implement the recommendations; to do this it will seek input from the family mediation community in due course.
