Elaine has worked as a family solicitor for over twenty-five years. She is a collaborative practitioner and an accredited child inclusive mediator, listed in Chambers. Elaine joined Resolution in 1997 and she has chaired two local branches. Elaine has influenced national family law policy since 2013 as a member of the Law Society Family Law Committee and she is now vice chair of Resolution’s national Dispute Resolution committee.
Elaine won the John Cornwell Award in 2019, which reflects her commitment to promoting a constructive approach to family issues by supporting the needs of the whole family, particularly children. Elaine trains on Domestic Abuse, Safeguarding and High Conflict Personalities and she supervises other mediators and family lawyers. |

Dr Liza Thompson has worked with victim/survivors of domestic abuse for over twenty years. In 2010 Liza became a qualified Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) supporting high risk victim/survivors of domestic abuse, and in 2013 she trained as a Safelives accredited Service Manager. From 2013 to 2021 she led the charity SATEDA as CEO. Liza’s experience of domestic abuse, and safeguarding in general, comes from these operational and also strategic roles. Liza is now an accredited Independent Statutory Review Chair, working on Domestic Homicide Reviews and Safeguarding adult Reviews on behalf of local authorities throughout England. Liza is also the current Independent Chair for the Rochester Diocese Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP). |
