A Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM) is a pre-mediation meeting.
During this session you will:
- Find out what happens in a MIAM
- Learn about the role of a MIAM as an early comprehensive information resource regarding all NCDR processes so that you are fully aware of all the choices available to you
- Learn about the issues you can explore in a MIAM, including how how practical arrangements in mediation can be tailored to your needs
- Hear how MIAMs have worked for others
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions of the presenters about the MIAM process.

Sarah-Jane Riddell is a specialist in family law at award winning firm Family Law Partners and works predominantly as an accredited mediator, collaborative family lawyer and solicitor neutral. Sarah-Jane specialises in dealing with financial and children matters that can arise following separation and also in advising clients who wish to arrange living together or pre/post-nuptial agreements (often using the collaborative process). Sarah-Jane is a highly skilled and experienced mediator and offers both mediation for issues relating to both children and finances. Sarah-Jane is also trained as a Hybrid Mediator and is the co-chair of Resolution’s Collaborative Working Party.
